possibilities
So, with our Thailand dreams cut short, Mary and I had to think of a new plan...fortunately Hotham provided us with an idea...Austin, TX. Our quest for food and banging has been turned towards the southwest united states. Maybe we will even keep up with our blog...maybe.

shiz
So after decades of relative political stability Thailand has finally lost it. We're talking full-on crazy. What used to be a beacon of hope/democracy/etc for its more capricious neighbors, Thailand is now dangerously close to a full-on civil war. So what does this mean for us, Bet and Breck? Will the conflict be resolved in time for us to leave for our October departure date? Is this a sign from God warning us of the apocalyptic nature of a "Bet-Breck" solo trip? The one last ditch effort of Fate to keep us from aligning the stars? I dunno, but we'll keep you updated

Happy Thai New Years!!
In case you didn't know, April 13-15 was Songkran, which is the three day celebration of the Thai new year. This holiday is celebrated in Thailand by having a three day, country-wide water fight. Not kidding. Vendors sell super soaker water guns, water balloons and other water fighting tools on the streets and EVERYONE participates. So in addition to food and bangin, I would like to add water fights to the list of why Bet and I are going to Thailand.

Thailand? what?
Heres the deal: Breck and I have decided to give up all of our many comforts (mainly TV and tacos, i'll miss you TDS...) and companions (at least we'll have some Bieber bumping in the ipod) to travel to the foreign lands of the Thai people (aka Thailand).
Why, you ask? Well, we're the traveling sort, we want to experience another culture, we enjoy learning and knowledge, blah blah. But mainly it's for the Thai food. And we have a sneaking suspicion that Leo is still hanging out on that island somewhere and maybe, just maybe, if we play our cards right, we can bang him. So there it is: food and banging. Why else would we, two normal, beautiful hot chicks go through all of this energy of the applications and planning and stuff? Food and banging my friend, food and banging .
Luckily for you, our kind, kind readers, we have created this blog so that you can have access to every thought of fear/excitement/anticipation that is leading up to the final departure in October for Thailand, and with the help of these newfangled "cyber cafes" we will be able to update you on the many exciting and interesting details of our trip. Let the adventure begin.
